YOUR VOICE MATTERS
Please join us for our Annual Nurses' Legislative Night Out, which will be held virtually this year.
What is Nurses' Legislative Night Out (NLNO)?
Traditionally held in Annapolis, NLNO is an opportunity for nurses to come together and network with colleagues, students and legislatures while learning about the legislative process and specific bills that MNA supports. The goal is to equip you with information and tools so that your voice as a nurse advocate can be heard.
Advocacy: Advocacy is the process of stakeholders making their voices heard on issues that affect their lives and the lives of others at the local, state, and national level. It also means helping policymakers find specific solutions to persistent problems.
What to expect this year at MNA’s NLNO:
While the pandemic is forcing us to go virtual, attendees will still have an opportunity to:
- Learn about bills that MNA is focused on and why
- Hear first-hand from colleagues impacted by proposed legislation - Peace Order: Workplace Violence Bill
- Gain the tools needed to become an engaged nurse advocate
- Network with colleagues
- Speak with local representatives in your community via zoom meetings to voice your opinions
Once you register you will receive a zoom link for the event, please plan to join zoom by 4:45 PM on Monday, January 25, 2021.
Thank You for Registering Today!
