Healthy Babies Program

The Maryland Nurses Association is coordinating with the leadership at the Maryland Department of Health on a new learning opportunity. On July 1, the Maryland Medicaid Program is launching an innovative program, Healthy Babies, to provide coverage to new moms and babies, regardless of immigration status.   This coverage will make a dramatic impact on the health outcomes of new moms and babies, and it will lower overall health care costs by providing early access to the full range of health and dental services during the prenatal, delivery, and postpartum periods.  MNA was proud to support the legislation that created this program.   And now we will see this initiative become reality.
