#DayofRemembrance: Remembering our Fallen Healing Heroes
Posted over 4 years ago
To mark the one-year anniversary of the global coronavirus pandemic on March 11th, MNA will join ANA to honor the ultimate sacrifice made by the more than 500 nurses in the United States who lost their lives to COVID-19 -- often succumbing to the disease after caring for patients afflicted by it -- with a Day of Remembrance.
Please join MNA on March 11th to remember those health care workers in Maryland and across the nation who have passed. This remembrance might take the form of a moment of silence at the start of a shift in a health care organization, or the beginning of the work day, wearing or displaying a white or blue ribbon, and/or lighting a candle in honor of those we've lost.
Feel free to leave a message below in honor of our fallen healing heroes.

My Prayers and Blessings to all of our fallen Heroes and their families, for they have opened the window of Nursing to the world. May God continue to provide the strength and guidance to those of us remaining in the fight.
My thoughts and prayers to the families of our Fallen Nursing Heroes. In their honor, my son and I have lit a candle in our home for the day. We both knelt in prayer this morning, taking a moment of silence, and honoring those who lost their lives healing others.
