Today Governor Hogan implemented a temporary 30-day state of emergency due to the latest COVID-19 surge. According to Governor Hogan, the state of emergency and additional executive orders will give the state additional resources to deal with the surge. The Executive Order is attached as a PDF.
Tomorrow at 6PM, MNA Immediate Past President Dr. Charlotte Wood will lead a zoom call to discuss solutions to the nursing workforce shortage that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are aware of how this is impacting each of you, please plan to join the call and share your ideas on solutions as MNA leaders are working with Maryland health care stakeholders to address this crisis.
