MNA and District Elections - Message from MNA President Waterman

Posted almost 3 years ago

Dear MNA Members:

As you may recall in the 2019 MNA annual election, MNA decided to conduct its elections electronically. It is both a cost saving measure and a time saving measure. If MNA has an e-mail address for you on file, you will have the opportunity to vote electronically. Should you prefer to vote via a paper ballot, you must notify the MNA Office and request a mailed ballot as soon as possible, but no later than October 01, 2022.

We still have some MNA members who do not have an e-mail address on file. Therefore, unless you notify the MNA office of your e-mail address, a paper ballot will automatically be mailed to you. (If you are receiving this letter in the mail, then that includes you). You can e-mail MNAInfo@marylandrn.org or call the office at 443-334-5110 ext. 3 with your e-mail address which we will add to your membership profile.

The elections will be open on Thursday, September 15 and close on Saturday, October 15. Once again, we are proud to announce that all of the MNA Districts are joining MNA in conducting their elections electronically in conjunction with the MNA annual election. Therefore, you will be voting for MNA leaders as well as your District leaders. MNA will be electing the office of the President - Elect and the Secretary. We will also be electing two Membership Assembly Officer Voting Representatives to the ANA Membership Assembly.

Thank you in advance for your participation in our annual elections. An engaged member is an active member that effects change.

If you have questions about the MNA election process, please call the MNA office at 443-334-5110, ext. 3 or e-mail MNAInfo@marylandrn.org Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm to seek clarification.

Sincerely,

Christie Simon-Waterman, DNP, CRNP, RN, DWC, WCC
