Celebrating Advance Practice Week !

Dear Esteemed Advance Practice Nurses,  

I hope this message finds you well and thriving in your roles as advanced practice nurses here in the great state of Maryland. As the President of the Maryland Nurses Association, it is both an honor and a privilege to address you today as we kick off Advance Practice Week.  

Advance Practice Week is a special time dedicated to celebrating the incredible contributions and expertise of our advanced practice nurses. It's a moment for us to reflect on the incredible impact you have on our healthcare system, our patients, and our communities. Your dedication and commitment to excellence are truly commendable.  

The past few years have tested the mettle of healthcare professionals like never before. You have been on the frontlines, providing essential care, demonstrating resilience, and adapting to the ever-evolving challenges of our profession. Your unwavering commitment to delivering quality healthcare has been a beacon of hope during trying times.  

During this Advance Practice Week, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your journey, the lives you've touched, and the countless hours you've spent improving the health and well-being of our fellow Marylanders. You are not just healthcare providers; you are advocates, educators, leaders, and innovators who play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare in our state.  

As we look ahead, there are undoubtedly more challenges to face and milestones to achieve. However, I am confident that with your dedication and expertise, we will continue to overcome obstacles and make progress towards a healthier Maryland. Together, we can further advance the practice of nursing and ensure that our profession remains at the forefront of healthcare.  

I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for your tireless efforts and your unwavering commitment to excellence. Your work does not go unnoticed, and we are proud to have you as members of the Maryland Nurses Association.  

Throughout Advance Practice Week, please take some time to celebrate your accomplishments, support your colleagues, and engage in activities that nourish your passion for nursing. You deserve recognition and appreciation not just this week, but every day.
