Greetings, MNA Members:
There is a leadership opportunity available on the MNA Board of Directors (BOD) as Vice President. Please consider being a candidate for this important position on the MNA BOD.
According to MNA Bylaws and Policies, to be a candidate for an Officer position on the MNA BOD, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current MNA/ANA member in good standing,
- Been an MNA member for the past three years, and
- Have three years of leadership experience at the District or MNA level.
If you are interested in this position, please contact the Maryland Nurses Association at MNAInfo@MarylandRN.org as soon as possible.
Your contact information will then be shared with the MNA Committee on Nomination (CON) Chair, Linda Stierle. She will reach out to you and find a mutually convenient time for a conversation and provide specific information on responsibilities and time commitments so you can make an informed decision about this leadership opportunity.
The term of office will start with the upcoming Board of Directors Meeting on December 14, 2023, and will end in December 2025. If interested in being a candidate for the MNA BOD position, you will need to submit the following:
- 2023 MNA Consent to Serve Form signed by you & your District President (attached).
- Brief biographical sketch as a separate Word document including the content addressed at the bottom of the Consent to Serve form.
- 200-word or less essay addressing why you are interested in being a candidate and your qualifications for the Vice President position
- A head and shoulders recent photo, JPEG format
Your complete candidate package is due to the MNA Committee on Nominations Chair Linda Stierle via MNAInfo@MarylandRN.org no later than Sunday, November 27, 2023. The MNA membership will be voting on the candidates electronically. A majority vote is required to be elected to the position. You will be notified of the election results no later than December 13, 2023.
