Jihane Frangieh PhD, MSN, RN
Jihane Frangieh is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the MSN Healthcare Organizational Leadership Programs at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. A seasoned nurse (20 years’ experience) with a clinical focus in neonatal nursing, she is an emerging health services researcher focusing on the work environment, leadership, and health care quality assessment and improvement. She is interested in enhancing nurse leadership skills and consequently improving patient outcomes, organizational performance, and staff retention. Dr. Frangieh has a passion for teaching, coaching, and mentoring prospective students, enabling them to reach their full potential. She serves as a reviewer in high-impact nursing journals, and she is the recipient of the Dorsye Russel Nursing Leadership Award and the Martha M. Borlick Research Award.
The Maryland Nurses Association (MNA) is very fortunate to have Dr. Frangieh as the Editor of The Maryland Nurse Journal. She is an experienced nurse, leader, educator, researcher, and mentor, who has a wealth of knowledge and skills that will enhance The Maryland Nurse Journal.
