Convention Theme
Nursing: From Health Promotion to Crisis Response
To support this year’s convention theme, the Maryland Nurses Association is seeking submissions that promote forward thinking nursing from health promotion to crisis response.
Educational Objectives for the 2024 MNA Convention:
- Describe leadership and clinical interventions for various nursing practice areas.
- Compare and contrast innovative quality and research improvements.
- Discuss current nursing education and professional development practice.
Abstracts will be reviewed and selected through a blind peer review process.
Presentation Types
- Concurrent -Presenters will be asked to prepare a 50-minute presentation. There will be 10 minutes for Q & A following presentation.
- Spotlight- Spotlight presenters will be asked to prepare a 15-minute presentation (limit to 10 slides) and 5 minutes for Q & A. There will be three Spotlight presentations in a one-hour block focusing on a similar topic.
- Poster – A stand-alone visual display (on a standard height easel) of a topic. At least one author is required to be present during the poster sessions.
Acceptance Notice – The lead author will be notified via e-mail whether the presentation has been accepted or rejected upon completion of the peer-review process. The agenda placement for all presentations is at the discretion of the Convention Committee. All presenters are expected to register for the convention and be available for a Q & A session.
IMPORTANT ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please submit the abstract application related to your Concurrent, Spotlight or Poster presentation completely no later than June 6, 2024.
- All abstracts must be submitted electronically using the google form. Abstract form (google.com)
- Title must accurately reflect the content of presentation.
- Presentations must include references and be free of copyrighted materials and images unless permission has been granted.
- If presentation edits are requested, a response within 2-weeks is expected.
You will be notified no later than June 28, 2024, if your abstract is accepted.
If accepted, all materials must be submitted to MNAInfo@MarylandRN.org no later than August 1, 2024.
The invitation to present at the MNA 121st Annual Convention will be retracted if all materials are not submitted by August 1, 2024.
